What The Hell Happened To This Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat?

Muscle Car

It used to be painted Plum Purple. Only half is now.

The listed primary damage is “BURN.” Secondary damage is “BURN-ENGINE.” There’s little to nothing left of the interior and in no way is the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine salvageable, based on the images here. Up for sale on auction website is this 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. How many miles? Impossible to tell, given the odometer no longer exists. The remains of this once beautiful Plum Purple are located in Boston, Massachusetts and, as of this writing, there’s a $70 bid.

Some body parts and, perhaps, the rear wheels, could possibly be reused, but that’s about it. Even a “D” from the Dodge logo is missing out back. But we’ll have to leave it to our imaginations as to what happened here. Clearly there was a fire that consumed mostly everything of relevance, but that’s about all we can make out. There doesn’t appear to be any evidence of a crash. There’s another two days left to place a bid until the auctions ends, so someone will likely end up hauling this thing home on a flat bed. What will they do with it? Embark on the project car of a lifetime? Who knows.

Even paying a for this literal hunk of garbage doesn’t seem worth it. Okay, so maybe your Challenger Hellcat requires a new trunk lid for some reason. Oh wait, never mind. It’s been sliced in half for yet another unknown reason. Happy bidding.
