Like what you see? It can be yours.

The 1990s was full of many great things, among them Nintendo 64, Sony Discmans, and some of the best cartoons ever. This decade also included the fourth-generation Fox body Mustang, which launched in 1994. The Fox body had been around since 1979 when the third-generation Mustang launched, and Ford continued to improve it all the way until 2004. That’s a 25-year lifecycle for that platform, an almost unheard amount of time by today's standards. It was also in 2004 when Ford launched the Mustang Mach 1, which doubled as sort of a Fox body send off and a 40th-anniversary celebration for the iconic pony car. Only 7,182 examples were made and one of them can be yours.

in Scottsdale, Arizona is selling this extremely low-mileage example for $29,900. Only 3,225 actual miles are on its clock. It’s been stored in a climate-controlled garage since new. Inside and out it’s a physical time capsule back to 2004. The Competition Orange exterior paint is flawless, as is the interior covered in black leather. Power comes from the old 4.6-liter, 32-valve V8 with 305 hp paired to a five-speed manual.

As a sign of dramatically changing times, today’s turbo four Mustang EcoBoost – the cheapest new Mustang you can buy – has 310 hp. Yes, a new is less expensive (base price: $25,845) and more powerful, but this V8-powered 2004 Mach 1 is still incredibly cool. It also has a fairly good chance of increasing in value in the years ahead.

Some of its other unique features include a set of extremely cool Magnum 500-style wheels, specially calibrated cams, a functional Ram Air Shaker hood scoop and modified upper intake, high-flow cylinder heads. Compared to a Mustang GT at the time, the Mach 1’s suspension is lowered by half an inch and there are new front and rear coil springs. Interested buyers can also rest assured the car comes with a clean Carfax report. Time for someone to "pony up” for this pony car? Chances are this ’04 Mustang Mach 1 will sell fairly quickly.
