The 300-HP Manhart-Tuned Mini Tells The Ford Focus ST To Go Stuff It

Courtesy of Germany.

You could go and buy a brand-new Ford Focus ST and its turbocharged 2.0-liter four banger with 252 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque and no one will doubt your enthusiast cred. Or, you could opt for something a bit different. Something sans a couple of doors and tuned by a bunch of speed-loving Germans. No, not a modified Fiesta ST but the new Manhart Performance Mini F300. These guys basically started things off with the Mini Cooper JCW and went a bit nuts. The turbocharged 2.0-liter four was given a new intercooler and optimized ECU.

A Remus stainless steel sports exhaust system brings even more internal combustion audio bliss. All told, the Mini F300 delivers 300 hp and 346 lb-ft of torque. Power is directed to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. Manhart hasn’t released performance specs just yet but they should be quite impressive, especially thanks to a carbon fiber tower strut brace and an adjustable coil-over suspension. Painted in British Racing Green with white stripes, gold decals and trim, the Mini F300 rides on 19-inch gold alloys. Step inside and you’ll find leather seats with Alcantara upholstery, Alcantara-wrapped steering, gold stitching and unique floor mats embroidered with the Manhart logo. No word on pricing was announced.
