"The only thing I won't sell is my wife and kids."
If you follow the world of supercars then chances are you’ve heard of Manny Khoshbin. The California real estate investor is also an Instagram influencer who posts daily photos and videos of car porn. And thanks to his highly successful real estate career he can buy just about any car he wants. One of those cars was a Koenigsegg Agera RS, the fastest street-legal car in the world.
According to , the Swedish hypercar has also become the fastest-appreciating asset he’s ever owned. It all started when Khoshbin placed an order for an Agera RS, which set a world-record speed of 284 mph. Only 25 were made and all quickly sold out. Khoshbin was set to receive the last one, dubbed the Agera RS Gryphon.
However, this is the same . A deal was quickly worked out between Koenigsegg and Khoshbin for a replacement, which he called the Agera RS Phoenix because it rose from the ashes of the Gryphon. Khoshbin didn’t hold back on the extras. The unique rear wing alone cost $300,000 and the 24 karat accents, including a gold-covered exhaust pipe brought the total price tag to $2.2 million.
The car was delivered 12 months ago and, five months later, he sold it. "I wasn't thinking about selling it. Honestly, I was buying to keep it permanently, but I got an offer I couldn't refuse,” Khoshbin told CNBC. A mutual friend connected him to a prospective buyer who also had a Koenigsegg in carbon and gold. The deal took a week to negotiate. "I said $5 million, we negotiated and landed at $4.1 million.”
Do the math and in Khosbhin’s five months of ownership brought him a $1.9 million profit. That’s about $365,595 a month, $11,875 a day, or $495 per hour. He claims he’s never made this much money in such a short period of time. Of course, it didn’t take him long to buy something else: a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Rembrandt with only 770 miles on the clock.
He already owns a one-off Pagani Huayra Hermes edition, a Bugatti Mansory Linea Vincero, and a full-body exposed carbon matte finish McLaren P1. Oh, and he already placed an order for a nearly .
Is there anything Khoshbin wouldn’t sell? "No, the only thing I won't sell is my wife and kids,” he said.
