Forget flowers – nothing says “Happy Valentine’s Day” to your car-loving significant other like a one-off supercar.
It’s Valentine’s Day, but forget romantic gestures involving flowers and chocolates. This lucky gearhead received a one-of-a-kind from "an incurable romantic," who commissioned the car for special delivery on February 14. It’s enough to melt your heart. The droptop McLaren 570S is finished in a seductive shade of Vermillion Red paint from the McLaren Elite color palette, complemented with red brake calipers and personalized “Color Edition” Pirelli P Zero Tires.
Inside, the interior is finished in Apex Red and Jet Black Nappa leather, while carbon fiber adorns the doors, sills and center tunnel. Completing the St Valentine’s Day look is a steering wheel with Apex Red leather trim and Indian Red seatbelts. Other unique touches for the special Saint Valentine’s Day 570S Spider include a Dark Palladium gray roof to contrast the body color, as well as an exquisitely crafted carbon fiber tonneau cover from the MSO Defined range. Elsewhere, the exterior has been adorned with carbon fiber including the door inserts, front splitter, rear deck, rear bumper, and rear spoiler. Mechanically, however, this one-off stays stock.
Like the standard model, power comes courtesy of a 3.8-liter biturbo V8, allowing the roadster to do 0-62 mph in 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 196 mph with the roof down and 204 mph with the roof closed. We’d love to know what the recipient of the bespoke sports car has bought their significant car in return – a box of chocolates probably isn’t going to cut it this year.
