An Evora wouldn’t normally be the most suitable car to transport a Christmas tree, but Lotus has pulled it off.

Not to be left out, Lotus has released its own Christmas-themed video with a unique twist. While most people strap their Christmas trees to roof racks or stuff them inside car trunks, Lotus “knew it could do it differently with carbon fiber, a little welding and a lot of burning rubber.”
Somehow, the automaker managed to cram a Christmas tree into the tiny cargo area of a . It’s fun to watch the sports car slide around the Lotus factory grounds at high speed without damaging the tree and its assortment of decorations. We can’t help but wonder if there were any outtakes. There are also a few car cameos to spot from the automaker’s history in the video to , including a white Lotus Esprit and a Lotus 72 Formula One car.
Obviously, the video was designed to showcase the superb handling and performance of Lotus sports cars, as the Evora drives through the facility at high speed and before delivering the tree to the company’s headquarters.
Compared to the 410 Sport, the Evora GT410 Sport is 62 pounds lighter thanks to several weight-saving measures including a titanium exhaust that weighs 22 pounds less than the standard part, and Ohlins dampers that are 29 pounds lighter. Power is provided by a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 that produces 410 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed manual or an optional six-speed automatic.
