So, in theory, you could drive the entire lineup in seven months.
Lincoln has just announced a new subscription-based service allowing customers the opportunity to lease any vehicle in the lineup on a monthly basis. The idea is to give customers greater flexibility and, hopefully, convert them permanently to the Lincoln brand. Set to begin in 2018, the service will only be offered in a “a couple of California cities.” Pricing was not announced. However, it is based on Ford Credit’s Canvas program, which offers a monthly lease on pre-owned Fords. It even includes insurance, warranty coverage, and maintenance.
What’s nice about this service is that customers don’t have to be locked into a two-year lease if they’re unhappy with the car. This announcement is purposely timed with this year’s LA Auto Show, where the renamed Nautilus mid-size SUV, formerly the MKX, is having its debut. Along with the new lease program, Lincoln is also starting a new collaboration with Clear, a company that “delivers secure and easy travel to more than 30 airports and arenas nationwide.” Basically, it helps make going through security at select airports an easier and less complicated experience for its customers.
Lastly, Lincoln is also expanding its to Dallas, Texas, the third location for the program. Dallas is the sixth largest luxury market in the US. This program provides private, “carefully screened” drivers to Lincoln owners who basically drive people where they need to go in the comfort of their own cars.
