Female-Focused Fast & Furious Spinoff Is Coming

When the first Fast & Furious film was released way back in 2001, no one could have predicted it would become . Fast forward nearly 20 years, and the franchise is showing no signs of slowing down and continues to print money.

He also announced that Nicole Perlman, Lindsey Beer, and Geneva Robertson-Dworet have joined the writing team for the project. This is a big deal because the team has writing credits for numerous Marvel movies. Perlman, for example, wrote the first Guardians Of The Galaxy, while Robertson-Dworet worked on the script for the upcoming Captain Marvel film.

No other details were shared, but it seems likely that Michelle Rodriguez will reprise her role as Dominic Toretto’s love interest Letty, who could star as the film's main protagonist. If so, she would no doubt be at the center of the film's automotive action and racing scenes. Other returning female characters could include Mia played by Jordana Brewster, who was absent in Fate of the Furious, Gisele played by Gal Gadot, who hasn’t been seen since Fast & Furious 6, and Ramsey played by Nathalie Emmanuel, a supporting character who featured in Furious 7 and Fate of the Furious.
