In the meantime, fans in Europe will be able to get see some of the film’s most spectacular stunts recreated before their eyes in this year's Fast & Furious Live arena tour. Two new behind the scenes videos give us a taste of some of the film’s iconic cars we can expect to see in action as well as the live-action setpieces audience members will be treated to.
Stunts from all eight Fast & Furious movies will be recreated according to Creative Director and Writer Rowland French, ranging from the physics-defying heist in Fast Five where a fleet of Chargers towed a bank vault down the street, to the opening of Fast & Furious where Diesel drives under an exploding fuel tanker.
The action-packed arctic chase in Fate of the Furious also be recreated, as will the car park drifting scene in Tokyo Drift and the truck heist from the first movie featuring the iconic Supra. 40 vehicles will be performing stunts in the live arena, including five stunt cars that were used in the films. Every other car in the show will be an exact 1:1 replica. The show will be staged around an original story linked to the films starring new characters DSS Agent Dawson and Sophia Diaz. Fast & Furious Live kicks off January 19 at the O2 Arena in London and will be touring 23 arenas in 14 countries across Europe throughout 2018. It will eventually come to the US in 2019.
