Could The New Aston Martin Vantage Be The Perfect Rapide Replacement?

X-Tomi shows us that the new Vantage looks great as a sedan.

The new, Aston Martin Vantage is already drawing a for the brand, and experts have already started to speculate on how Aston can improve the car in the future. Renderings of how good this car will , and even a far have emerged. We didn't think that the Vantage could get much cooler, until rendering artist decided to one up everyone by imagining the new Vantage as a four-door sedan. The result looks like a worthy replacement to the Aston Martin Rapide.

Aston Martin announced earlier this year that it would be model. Even when it was first revealed, the Rapide seemed like it was behind the times in terms of performance and technology. Despite packing a 565-hp V12 up front, the Rapide will go down in history as an overpriced miss from Aston Martin. This doesn't mean that Aston Martin can't learn from its mistakes and develop a worthy replacement. that the company could end up selling two four-door models, an SUV called the DBX, and a sedan called the Lagonda. These same rumors point towards an EV powertrain, but we'll have to wait and see what the company chooses.

We'd be surprised if Aston Martin ended up using the new Vantage platform for an upcoming four-door model. Aston may use the upcoming inline-six hybrid drivetrain from Mercedes in its future cars, but it seems unlikely that the replacement for the Rapide would use the 4.0-liter AMG V8 or Aston's new twin-turbo V12. It's still nice to dream, because this four-door Vantage rendering looks fantastic.
