Acura’s luxury SUV has received a slight price increase over last year’s model.
The , and now the 2020 model is arriving in US dealerships this week. Just before it goes on sale, Acura has announced pricing details for the third-generation luxury SUV.
For the 2020 model year, the base Acura RDX starts at $37,600 a $995 destination charge – that’s just a $300 price increase compared to last year’s model. Adding Acura’s Technology Package bumps up the price to $40,800, while upgrading to the automaker’s Super-Handling All-Wheel increases the starting price to $39,600. A new Platinum White exterior color option has also been added to the options list for the 2020 model.
As with last year’s model, the 2020 Acura RDX can be equipped with an with unique front and rear bumpers, gloss black accents, an NSX-inspired rear diffuser, and 20-inch wheels. Adding the A-Spec package increases the FWD RDX’s starting price to $43,800 and $45,800 for the AWD model. The range-topping RDX with the Advance Package, on the other hand, starts at $47,700.
Like last year’s model, the 2020 Acura RDX is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Standard premium features and technologies include AcuraWatch safety and driver-assistive technology, an ultra-wide panoramic moonroof, LED headlights, and sport seats. The 2020 RDX also includes Acura’s True Touchpad Interface, along with an available 16-channel, 710-watt ELS 3D Audio sound system, featuring four ultra-slim ceiling-mounted speakers to create an immersive listening experience.
The third-generation RDX received the highest possible safety ratings of Top Safety Pick+ (depending on selected headlights) from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and a 5-star Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which Acura expects to repeat for the 2020 model year.
