2019 Fiat 500X Shows Its Funky Face Ahead Of Official Reveal

The upcoming Fiat 500X facelift will likely share the same engines as the 2019 Jeep Renegade it’s based on.

Having been on sale since 2014, the Fiat 500X is long overdue an update. Fortunately, the funky crossover is getting a mid-cycle facelift next year to keep it fresh. We’ve already seen , but now Autoblog.it has posted the first official teaser for the 2019 500X. The shadowy image shows that next year’s model will feature a subtly revised front fascia with new integrated LED headlights shaped like an eye, round fog lights, a slightly larger grille, and circular LED daytime-running lights around the turn signals.

While the teaser only gives us a glimpse of the front, previous spy shots have confirmed the 2019 Fiat 500X facelift will receive revised bumpers, new taillights with color-coded inserts like the regular Fiat 500, and new alloy wheels. Autoblog.it also says the 500X will come with an updated interior featuring a new steering wheel similar to the last 500L and a more modern infotainment system with a large 8.4-inch touchscreen taken from the new Jeep Renegade. Revised trim and upholstery options could also be offered, but there’s nothing official yet.

In terms of engine options, the 2019 Fiat 500X is likely to share the same powertrains as the .

This means the 500X could be offered with a pair of turbocharged gasoline units including a 1.0-liter three-cylinder unit that produces 118 hp and 140 lb-ft of torque and a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine with 148 hp or 177 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque. According to Autoblog.it, the 2019 Fiat 500X will be unveiled this fall. An obvious reveal venue would be the Paris Motor Show in October, but that won’t happen since .
