Could the Mercedes-AMG GT R Black Series make an appearance at the Frankfurt Auto Show?

From the video, there are several signs that we’re not staring at the already-hardcore AMG GT R. Notably, the position of the exhausts has changed from the center to outboard positions within the diffuser – a similar setup to the . Elsewhere, the manually adjustable rear wing looks the same, but the camouflage suggests that the liftgate has been revised.
This is possibly a result of the rear glass being replaced with a polycarbonate window to shed further weight in addition to the abundance of carbon fiber components. It’s probably no coincidence that the also happens to have a plastic rear window, a car that Mercedes-AMG no doubt has in its sights as a rival for the GT R Black Series. Mercedes-AMG has yet to divulge when we can expect the GT R Black Series to break cover, but we may have to wait until 2018. Sources have suggested that it will pack over 600 hp compared to the current range-topping GT R that produces 577 hp. Here’s hoping it makes an appearance at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.
