And now it’s up for sale…for more than a quarter million dollars.
There are positives and negatives to the two archetypal personality types usually portrayed in our society—that of the cautious and reserved type who dips their toes into a pond to test it before getting in, and their opposite, the one that grabs life by the horns and dives in without a pause. The latter of the two kinds of people likes to live life to the fullest, but the consequence of that, at least in this case, seems to be a brand new Lamborghini Aventador wrecked with only 73 miles on the clock.

it on , a site specializing in auctions of cars with salvage titles. While there’s no clear reason listed for all the the damage, it’s pretty easy to piece together the tragedy that took place just by looking at the car’s condition. Here are the facts. Gorgeous blue new Lamborghini Aventador SV leaves the dealership, overzealous driver pushes past their limits as well as those of the 6.5-liter V12 supercar after only a few drives, and proceeds to wreck it less than 100 miles after its wheels started rolling off the factory floor. Whether or not the problem stems from the crash, there also seems to be a warning for a fault with the trunk entrapment system.

Deal breaker? Probably not. Still, this, in every sense of the word, is a tragedy but the damage to the front and and the deployed airbags don’t appear to help bring down the price to bargain status. Copart lists the Lambo at $311,000, just $136,295 under typical list price. There’s no mention on how much it'll cost to fix this beautiful blue machine, but with a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, new airbags, a repaired trunk-entrapment system, and a paint retouch certainly doesn't sound cheap. Once the job is done, a buyer may as well shell out for a new Aventador SV without a salvage title. Between losing races to Tesla SUVs, catching fire during police chases, and getting wrecked by drunks, this has been a tough week for Lamborghini.
