After its , Porsche has remained tight-lipped about the new 911 GT2 RS, to the point the German automaker has been . We’re expecting more details to emerge when the most powerful road-going 911 makes its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend. Ahead of its reveal, official photos have leaked online courtesy , giving us our best look at the new hardcore 911 yet.
As we saw at E3, the GT2 RS looks astonishingly aggressive thanks to its array of aerodynamic components. Enormous air intakes dominate the front, and the rear wing is ridiculously large. We also get a first look at the stripped-out interior, which is coated in copious amounts of weight-saving carbon fiber. Bright red accents have been applied to the seats, headliner and steering wheel, and a roll cage has been installed behind the seats for extra rigidity. Elsewhere,“Weissach RS” lettering has been applied to the headrests and as a plague on the dashboard with an outline of the Porsche test track, suggesting an ultra-lightweight variant could be on the cards.
The high-performance Weissach Package was previously available for the 918 Spyder, though it remains to be seen whether it will be optional or come as standard for the GT2 RS. Porsche still hasn’t revealed any technical specifications for the GT2 RS, but and 553 lb-ft of torque, allowing the hardcore 911 to sprint from 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds.
