Someone at BMW Hong Kong let the images go live too early.
BMW will be revealing its all-new, SUV tomorrow, Monday, June 26, but not surprisingly, leaked images have already appeared online. Thanks to , who was fortunate enough to find them in French magazines, as well as BMW’s official (who has since removed them), here’s a gallery showcasing the 2018 X3. , the new X3 doesn’t look dramatically different, but it does seem to have more of an upright SUV look.
The front end feature a "three-dimensional" twin kidney grille that’s larger than the current design. We also like the new headlights with their hexagonal design. The lower front bumper is also more aggressive, hence more of an SUV look. Out back, there are LED taillights which also incorporate that 3D look. Also take note of the roof spoiler that contributes to a sportier look. The new interior also represents a solid upgrade over the current model's, with a floating LCD touchscreen on top of the dashboard, which is comprised of higher quality materials and, more than likely, an even higher degree of fit and finish.
While we don’t have official specs just yet, we do know the X3 M40i will sit at the top of the trim range, featuring a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged straight-six with 360 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, and paired to an eight-speed automatic sending power to all four wheels. It has a claimed 0-62 mph sprint time of 4.8 seconds. In a nutshell, the 2018 X3 appears to be a bit bigger, lighter, more luxurious and more powerful than its predecessor. We’ll have complete details for you very soon.
