More design details of the Urus have been shown off in the latest teaser before the official reveal on December 4.
Ahead of its long-awaited debut next week, Lamborghini has lifted the covers off the new Urus in the latest video of the automaker’s exhaustive teaser campaign that marks the first time we’ve seen the production model uncamouflaged. After reuniting us with its predecessor, the LM002, the teaser shows some of the Urus’s design details such as its LED headlights, carbon fiber elements, and roof-mounted spoiler. We also get a first look at the rear of the Urus, revealing its taillights inspired by the scrapped Asterion supercar.
Revealed back in 2014 at the Paris Auto Show with a , the Asterion sadly never made it to production as it was . We already know what the front of the Urus looks like thanks to an in a previous teaser.
Befitting its supercar performance, the Urus will look unlike any other SUV on the market with an aggressive front fascia sporting large air intakes. The V8 badge briefly shown in the teaser alludes to the SUV’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that produces 650 horsepower. It may not have a V10 or V12 like its supercar siblings, the Huracan and Aventador, but recent test drives have reported it can set lap times as fast as the Huracan. It’s also slated to be the , with a 0-62 mph time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of over 188 mph. Lamborghini is confident that this should enable the Urus to .
We’ve also seen the interior, which borrows elements from the Audi A7 and A8. At this rate, Lamborghini surely can’t be holding back too many surprises for the official reveal on December 4.
