Ken Block would be proud.
In case you haven’t seen it, (and if you haven’t, shame on you), Ken Block’s recent Gymkhana spin-off Climbkhana has some of the most daring driving you’ll see all year, featuring Block tackling the perilous Pikes Peak Hill Climb in his souped-up Mustang Hoonicorn V2. As with every Gymkhana extravaganza, the video has racked up millions of views, no doubt earning Block many new fans. One such fan is Robin Williams, better known online as GTA Wise Guy, who has taken the time to remake Gymkhana in Grand Theft Auto V with amazing accuracy.

The results are just as spectacular as the original film (well, almost). Like the actual Climbkhana project, this ambitious project must have taken an incredibly long time to plan, record and edit. The YouTuber has done a masterful job replicating the camera angles and stunts in the game while syncing everything to the audio of the original film.

Apparently, it took five days alone just to recreate the car, as Williams had to modify one of GTA’s fictional cars to resemble Block’s Mustang. "It took just over 2 weeks to make from custom modeling, the twin turbos, exhausts, hood cutout, wheels and custom livery to recording, editing camera movements in the Rockstar editor and piecing it all together" Williams told . He also explained that the hardest part of making the film was finding the right location in the game that looked like Pikes Peak and getting the driving to look as slick as Block’s skills behind the wheel. To achieve this, Williams had to create his own custom handling mod to make the car more tail-happy.

Williams adds his own flare to some shots, but every memorable stunt in the real Gymkhana film has been faithfully recreated, from Block doing donuts around a helicopter, to his death-defying drift around the mountain edge. As fan projects go, this is one of the best we’ve seen.
