A no-nonsense performance upgrade sees the super potent Black Series Coupe given a massive boost in power.
Mercedes' latest Black Series model has been on the market for two months and already a tuner has come along to squeeze more juice from the factory-tuned C63 AMG Coupe. The original C63 AMG boasted a modest 451hp. A beefier chassis setup and tweaked 6.2-liter V8 followed in the Black Series Edition resulting in 510hp. And now VATH has worked its magic in the form of the V63 Supercharged.
A power kit, consisting of a compressor system, water-charging cooling system, ECU remap and custom exhaust, manages to generate 746hp and 590lb-ft of torque from the V8. This equates to a new top speed of 218mph and a century sprint time of 3.6 seconds, down from 4.2. The engine modification is priced at 38,500 Euros, but for an additional charge VATH can provide a complete suspension that lowers the car from 20-65mm, adjustable shock absorbers, more powerful brakes and 20-inch alloys. Other options are made up of a blacked out grille sans the MB star, a leather sport steering wheel with carbon or wood trim, and a 250mph speedometer.
