American born. Raised in England.
Ford knew exactly what it was doing when . , and Ford was only too happy to oblige. Taking full advantage of this, Clive Sutton, a London-based exotic and luxury car dealership and bespoke tuning house, has just revealed the Sutton CS800, a custom-built Mustang with 800 hp. It will debut at the 2017 Top Marques show in Monaco this week.
The CS800 is based on the 5.0-liter V8 Mustang GT, but it’s been equipped with a high-performance supercharger system. As any proper Mustang enthusiast understands, the six-speed manual was chosen over the automatic, and Sutton even opted for the Ford Performance short-shift gear selector. The has a three-way adjustable suspension, and a Stage 2 Whipple supercharger, upgraded intercooler, new injectors and a larger throttle body. Even more American performance-style influence can be seen with the new exhaust system featuring long tube headers, sports catalyst and active-controlled quad tailpipes.
The exterior, as you can already tell, has been upgraded with a carbon fiber front splitter and side skirts, along with a "Super Snake" hood. The trunk lid with an integrated flip-up spoiler is also made of carbon fiber, as is the "sculpted" rear valance housing the exhaust tips. The interior is adorned with Ford Performance Recaro seats, unique for UK Mustangs, and a bespoke carbon fiber dashboard. There’s also plenty of Sutton badging, as well as 'CS800' seat stitching. The car you see here, which will also be on display at Top Marques, comes with a nine-speaker 1,100-watt Audiofile hifi upgrade. The price? Try 64,950 GBP.
Clive Sutton specifically notes it’ll have additional cars on display in Monaco, including the CS350 Mustang, powered by the 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo four, and an F-150 Raptor in custom matte black with carbon fiber trim. American muscle and performance truck awesomeness is clearly contagious.
