Don't dismiss the minivan!
The Chrysler Town & Country created the minivan segment, and with the all-new, freshly named, Pacifica, , Chrysler has attempted to rebrand the van and has done a very job of it. It rides on an all-new platform and tips the scales at 4,330 pounds, making it over 300 pounds lighter than its much-loved predecessor. Two engine choices include a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 rated at 287 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque mated to a nine-speed automatic that’s controlled via a console-mounted dial shifter.
A you’d expect of a minivan, there is plenty of space, but what you might not expect is just how premium everything feels in the Pacifica.
There’s a Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen for the front passengers, a UConnect Theater system complete with two 10-inch touchscreen displays for the second row passengers, and with the Stow ‘N Go seats folded flat into the floor, the Pacifica offers over 200 cubic feet of total interior volume. While the world has gone made for SUVs and crossovers, we think the Pacifica deserves any young family’s attention. For $43,000 you could drive away this Touring-L Plus model – the middle of the five available trim options – and your family will thank you for giving them such an awesome space in which to be chauffeured around in. Special thanks to in San Jose, California for letting us film the car.
