Even some museums don't have a collection as incredible as this!
With all the events, displays, parade runs and races being held throughout the weekend , you'd be forgiven for thinking all the key classic car showcases would be held within the confines of the Goodwood Circuit. However, that's not necessarily the case - in fact, you could very well argue that the best vintage vehicle gathering at the Revival can be found in the official car park.
Admittedly, there is a small caveat to that claim: it only applies to the vintage-vehicles-only 'Revival Car Show' meet (though we're sure the standard spots by featuring an equally impressive car line-up). With that out of the way, we can now go on to say how this more-exclusive car park is one of the finest automotive gatherings we've ever come across. Everything from dinky British sports cars to grand touring behemoths; rorty Porsche roadsters to burbling American cruisers and everything else in between was represented. Oh, and what appeared to be the entire Jaguar E-Type production run. Not that we're complaining, mind.
Along with all the heavy hitters, quite a few obscure oddities were dotted about the car park. For instance, were any of you aware beforehand of the Maudslay 60HP 'Big Maude'? Or the Willys-Knight? How about the Gilbern Genie? (give yourself a pat on the back if you did indeed know of these prior to reading this article!). Of course, the racing itself is the main draw of the Goodwood Revival - but, if you do attend the event and find yourself with some time going spare, go and check out the Revival Car Show. We can assure you that you won't be disappointed in the slightest.
