But still only in the UK.
We can’t say that Mexico has contributed a ton to automotive design. While several auto factories are based there, we haven’t seen a single popular Mexican car exported globally…until now. The Vuhl 05 is a high-tech road-legal track toy that most of you have probably heard about over these. We were expecting the Vuhl 05 to be on sale at the end of the year, but the United Kingdom's Bespoke Performance has just announced that it already has them for sale.
This beast will hit 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 152 mph. The roofless toy doesn’t come in cheap though as it starts at $94,000. Also, Vuhl wants to keep the 05 exclusive, and therefore will produce just 50 per year. This means that dealerships will have a high demand for the car and may mark-up the price well into the six figures. Since the Vuhl is now for sale, we can expect reviews and sightings of it. We're interested to see if it can really compete with its competitors, the KTM X-Bow, Ariel Atom and BAC Mono. Even if it can’t meet those high standards, a six-speed manual paired with old school steering rarely produces a boring car.
