Hot on the heels of the e-tron SUV comes the sporty, Iron Man approved, e-tron GT, the second model in Audi’s fledgling electric vehicle lineup. Sitting low and wide with a long wheelbase, the four-door coupe utilizes lightweight materials, including carbon fiber and aluminum. Sharing its underpinnings with the Porsche Taycan but with distinctive Audi styling, the e-tron GT is sleek and aerodynamic with 22-inch wheels and unique headlight graphics. Power comes from a pair of electric motors mounted front and rear with output rated at 590 hp sent to all four wheels. 0-62 mph should take a swift 3.5 seconds, while thanks to a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery sat under the floor, a range of around 250 miles is anticipated. Using a 800-volt system, 80 percent of charge takes just 20 minutes. Production of the e-tron GT is expected in 2020 with deliveries to start in 2021.
